Jake Hall

Jake is a Director at Danari Global. He is an operations and strategy leader, writer and researcher, and economist. He has worked with and added value to international and multinational firms, governments, academic institutions, and NGOs in East Africa, Southeast Asia, Western Europe, and the United States.

Jake started his career as an operations team leader at unicorn firm Velocity Global where he helped clients expand into over 70 new countries and helped build and scale the company’s international operations processes during the firm’s hyper-growth phase. He has also worked as an intelligence analyst for a multinational firm in Kenya and spent over 7 months in field roles across East Africa. As a researcher and consultant, Jake has helped clients navigate African markets, understand and forecast political, economic, and reputational risks and trends, contextualize the risk of violent extremism to international operations, and provided insight on international economic issues. He has published academic papers on the relationship between violent extremism, climate change, and international development in Sub-Saharan Africa and contributed to research publications surrounding political and economic issues in Afghanistan, Russia, and the Philippines.

Jake holds dual MA’s in International Economic Policy from Sciences Po Paris and Terrorism and Political Violence from King’s College London, and has a BA in History and International Studies from the University of Denver.
